METEORITE MEN
PULTUSK, POLAND
A rare opportunity to acquire a piece of this historic 1868 fall
An important new offering, strictly limited to only nine pieces
Meteorite Men Collectible MM-21

Pultusk, Poland was the site of the final Season Three episode of Meteorite Men. Geoff and Steve investigated the fall zone of the historic 1868 meteorite shower, which was one of the largest in in recorded history. By special arrangement with our professional colleagues in Poland, we acquired an outstanding and recently-found Pultusk stone which, when prepared in the lab, produced some of the finest chondrite slices we have ever seen. These excellent specimens display abundant nickel-iron flakes, superb brecciation, and remarkable shock veins. Pultusk fell in the winter of 1868 over snow-covered fields in Poland. The black rocks were easy to see, and almost all known specimens were picked up shortly after the fall. Most of those went to old museum collections, and Pultusk is almost never available on the commercial market. It is a must for the collector of historic meteorites and witnessed falls.

While working at the Pultusk site, Geoff was lucky enough to acquire nine copies of the lovely book Meteoryt Pultusk, by Najwiekszy Deszcz and published by the Muzeum Regionalnego w Pultusku. This highly collectible publication is 62 pages, 8 inches by 8 inches, full color throughout, and includes nine chapters (in Polish), historic prints and illustrations, a vintage Pultusk strewnfield map, and numerous full color photographs.

We are very pleased to offer an extremely limited edition of only nine Meteorite Men Pultusk display sets.

Each display set contains the following:

• A complete slice of the Pultusk meteorite, expertly prepared by our top lab. See below for pictures of the actual specimens

• A mint condition (unread) copy of the book Meteoryt Pultusk
