Meteorite Men in Episode 207, MUNDRABILLA, AUSTRALIA

Steve and Geoff head "Downunder" on the most ambitious expedition of their careers. The guys teamed up with Australian meteorite specialist Dr. Andy Tomkins and spent a few days camped in the actual Mundrabilla fall zone looking for the strange and beautiful Mundrabilla iron. Fun fact: Geoff bought didgeridoo on this trip!

Mundrabilla (Iron, IAB-ung)

A remarkable Australian iron, Mundrabillas are known for their unusual zoomorphic shapes. During its long flight through our atmosphere, soft areas of the meteorite melted away leaving behind a weird and wonderful animal-like resemblance. Mundrabilla displays an attractive etch pattern and is found in a very remote part of Western Australia, known as the Nullarbor Plain. All specimens are as-found, with an orange/ochre patina, and have legal export permits from Australia.

Very limited quantity available! Every meteorite is unique; yours will be chosen out of the group photo above.
