| The
Henbury meteorite was discovered in 1931. It is classified as
a IIIAB iron is associated with a field of at least fifteen impact
craters located in central Australia. Henbury irons display one
of the best desert patinas of any meteorite — a reddish-crimson
color slowly acquired over hundreds of years. The crater field
is now a protected area and meteorite hunting is no longer allowed.
As a result Henbury irons have all but disappeared from the marketplace
and specimens are extremely difficult to acquire.
This attractive meteorite collectible comes with excellent documentation:
a specimen identification card, an information sheet about the
Henbury meteorite, a Meteorite Men Certificate of Authenticity,
and an exclusive color photograph of the Meteorite Men,
personally signed by Steve and Geoff.

ABOUT THE METEORITE MEN
Geoff of Meteorite Men is a meteorite specialist, photographer
and science writer and his meteorite hunting articles and photographs
have appeared in Meteorite magazine, Astronomy, Rock
& Gem, Sky & Telescope, Wired, Geotimes, Seed,
Sci Q, and many other national and international publications.
He is also a fellow of the world famous Explorer's Club.
Steve of Meteorite Men stunned the scientific community
in the fall of 2005 when he discovered a 1,430-lb pallasite meteorite
buried in a cornfield near Brenham, Kansas. It is the largest
of its type ever found in North America. Pallasites are unique
among meteorites as they are composed of iron-nickel and olivine
crystals (the gemstone peridot).
The two friends have made documentaries about meteorite hunting
for Discovery, National Geographic, The History Channel, PBS,
and The Travel Channel as well as co-hosting Science Channel's
Meteorite Men adventure series.
